Tennessee lost the commitment of yet another recruit on Wednesday. This time, it was three-star quarterback Michael Penix. He made the announcement on his personal Twitter account.
A native of Tampa, FL, Penix had been committed to UT since April 2017. He’s rated as the No. 20 pro-style quarterback in the class of 2018 and the No. 88 prospect from the state of Florida, according to 247 Sports.
With Penix’s decommitment, Tennessee now has just 12 total recruits committed for 2018 and the class is ranked No. 36 nationally, No. 11 in the SEC.
